8 June is World Ocean Day.
Eco Divers, together with NSWA and Suara Pulau, is performing several activities to celebrate this very important date.
On 5 June our Eco Divers Manado Team did a beach cleanup (a few photos in this post).
Some other activities are still going on: yesterday and today we did sink some old lockers, tied them up and prepared to become an artificial reef in from of Minahasa Lagoon.
Tomorrow we’ll do a coral transplantation and we’ll all get together in the evening at Manado Tateli Beach Resort for the final dinner.
We all believe that with these repeated activities we could get the attention of the medias and local authorities, which will hopefully support our future activities.
