The beginning of the year is a very good time to dive North Sulawesi in fact, even if January and February are called rainy season, this is most a wet season, where rains, which are almost equally distributed along the year, get more abundant.

We do have a lot of sunny days and weeks, like today and only sometimes we get some bad weather episodes when, for a few days, we get a few hours rain every day.

However usually that comes in the afternoon, being the morning still nice and bright and diving conditions are not really affected.

Water temp is stil on 28/29 C. (82/84 F), visibility is good, especially around the islands of Bunaken National Park, while it can be reduced along North Sulawesi coastline or in Lembeh Strait, where anyway we do have a lot of muck diving sites, therefore the visibility is less important.

Resorts and dive sites are usually uncrowded, so divers get the better and more personalized service from hotels and dive centers, where the staff who usually take care of many guests are now pampering a few of them only.

As it is low season you can also take advantage of special offers, like ours, valid till the end of February, at both Eco Divers Manado and Lembeh, which offers 30% discount for the second diver booked (when you book for 2 divers) or if you book up to 4 divers, the fourth goes free (check the offer terms and conditions out at https://eco-divers.com/eco-divers-january-and-february-2015-special-offer/).

We look forward to welcoming you soon to our dive operations and we wish happy bubbles!
